Local businesses have until 1st September to apply for Somerset awards in various categories from Environmental responsibility to Marketing and Promotion

Businesses from all over the county will be competing for the prestigious Somerset Business of the Year awards in 7 categories.  New businesses in Mendip can also apply for Mendip New Business of the Year in a category sponsored by Mendip District Council as part of its Start Up Grants Scheme.

This year's awards are being organised by a partnership of Somerset Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses.

Businesses wishing to nominate themselves will need to provide a written statement for each category along with any supporting information which they may have available.

Applications must be in by 1st September 2008 and the awards ceremony will be held on 7th October 2008.  To apply online click here
