Frome is a great place for a short break - says the Sunday Times

Frome has been named as one of five 'small town heroes' by the Sunday Times lifestyle feature on June 29th

The article in the Sunday Times, entitled Town and Country, focusses on five small towns which offer fine food, wild walks, boutique bolt-holes and meadowy picnics.

The article focusses on the cultural offer of the town, singling out the Frome Festival (4th - 13th July 2008) and Black Swan arts for special mention.

One of Frome's other special qualities is the great number of historic buidlings in the town.  These give the townscape a wonderful atmosphere.

According to the Sunday Times, Frome is a great place for 'shop pottering' particularly along Cheap Street and Catherine Hill.  Children are well catered for because of the easy access to the countryside as well as the big name attractions up the road at Longleat and Wookey Hole caves.
